Francia 1825. Nacido in La Rochelle, was a French academic painter. A student at the L'Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he won the Prix de Rome in 1850. His realistic paintings and mythological themes were exhibited at the annual exhibitions of the Paris Salon throughout his life.
